HERO Program

LNMS is a HERO School!

The HERO program is once again up and running at LNMS. Students earn HERO points for positive behaviors such as being on time to class, having a charged device, random acts of kindness, and attending school events. Deductions can also occur for tardies and other violations of school policies. This year, LNMS has implemented a store, dubbed “Knight Prime”! Students can cash in their points in exchange for a variety of items. The Knight Prime Order Form will be available for viewing on the 2021-2022 Student Body Course in Canvas. Additionally, it is located on the Parent page of the LNMS website. Students can view the Google form and decide if they want to spend their points for smaller items, or save up for larger items down the road. Once students decide, they submit their form. Each Friday items will be delivered to the lunchroom. We hope this program encourages the positive behaviors we expect of our Knights! Questions or concerns can be directed to [email protected].

Lake Nona Middle School is once again a HERO school!

HERO encourages positive student behavior choices, but tracks all behaviors. When students demonstrate HERO behaviors, they may earn points toward exciting incentives. We invite students and parents to register your own HERO account so we may keep the lines of communication between home and school open. Once you register online, you may download the HERO app to receive push notifications about your student’s HERO behavior throughout the day. Students and Guardians will each have a unique Hero login account.

To register, follow these easy steps:

1) Go to https://access.heropowered.com

2) Select the parent or student button

3) Click “Create An Account”

4) Enter name, your email address, choose a password, click “Create user”

5) Click “Add Student”

6) Choose “No” to the question "Did your school provide you with a secure key to access HERO?"
7) Proceed to add your student using their ID Number, Date of Birth, and Last Name.

Download the Hero App

Once you register online, you may download the HERO app from the app store or Google Play stores to keep track of HERO behavior history and Hero point balances.

Lake Nona Middle School es otra vez una escuela HERO!

HERO anima a los estudiante a tomar decisiones de comportamiento positivo. Cuando los estudiantes demuestran comportamientos HERO, adquieren puntos para obtener incentivos. Invitamos a los estudiantes y padres a registrar sus propias cuentas de HERO para así poder mantener abiertas las líneas de comunicación entre el hogar y la escuela. Una vez que se haya inscrito, podrá descargar la aplicación de HERO para comenzar a recibir notificaciones sobre el comportamiento de su estudiante durante todo el día. El estudiante y los padres tendrán su propia cuenta de inicio de HERO.

Para inscribirse, siga estos pasos sencillos:

1) Vaya a https://access.heropowered.com

2) Seleccione el botón de padre o estudiante (‘Parents’ y ‘Students’ respectivamente)

3) Seleccione “Create An Account” para crear la cuenta

4) Ingrese su nombre y dirección de correo electrónico. Elija una contraseña y seleccione “Create user” para crear el nombre de usuario

5) Seleccione “Add Student” para agregar al estudiante

6) Seleccione “No” a la pregunta ¿Tu escuela te proporcionó una clave segura para acceder a HERO?
7) Despues se puede agregar su estudiante usando un número de ID, fecha de nacimiento y apellido.

Descargar la aplicación de HERO

Una vez que se haya registrado, usted podrá descargar la aplicación de HERO desde la tienda iTunes (para iPhone) o Google Play (para Android) y así hacerle seguimiento al historial de comportamiento y balance de puntos de su estudiante.
